Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what information Casavault handles and how it is stored and protected.
Casavault does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data with third parties. The app contains no analytics, no advertising SDKs, and makes no network requests to external servers.
All data you create in Casavault—passwords, credentials, notes, and attached images—is stored locally on your device using Core Data. If you are signed into iCloud, this data is also synced to your personal iCloud account via CloudKit so it is available across your devices. This sync goes directly between your devices through Apple's infrastructure; we never see or have access to it.
If you grant permission, Casavault reads data from your Apple HomeKit setup (home names, room names, and accessory names) to help you organize your credentials. This data is read locally on your device and is never sent anywhere outside of your iCloud sync described above.
Casavault uses Face ID or Touch ID to protect access to your data. Biometric data is processed entirely by Apple's Secure Enclave and is never accessible to the app or to us.
If you choose to attach a photo or scan a QR code, the app requests access to your camera or photo library for that purpose only. Images you attach are stored as part of your local data and are subject to the same iCloud sync described above. We do not access your camera or photos for any other reason.
Casavault is not directed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
